Independently in the Community
DASSI
is a not for profit organisation providing one-to-one attendant
support to people with a disability who need assistance to live,
learn and work independently in the community. Individual attendant
support can include assistance with personal care, household tasks,
mobility, rehabilitation, social/recreational, educational and
support within the workplace. DASSI works across Metropolitan
Melbourne and in the Regional areas of Ballarat and Geelong.
DASSI
is committed to the provision of quality services to ensure that
the individual needs of people with an acquired brain injury,
physical disability and/or health condition that affects mobility
or their lifestyle are met.
DASSI
supports the right of people with a disability to live according
to their own values and standards; respects the right to privacy,
confidentiality and dignity; and the right to an individual and
effective service.
As a Registered Training
Organization, DASSI provides intensive, individually designed
training to attendants. Training courses are also available to
people with a disability to enhance/develop skills to take on
leadership roles in the community.
