Rights
As a User of DASSI
Services you have the Following Rights:
to receive the support service that has been negotiated with you
and to have your assessed needs met.
to
receive a service that is designed to meet your individual needs
and goals in the most positive way possible within identified
resources.
to
make decisions in relation to your day to day support and the
service provided by DASSI that may effect your support. Where
you need assistance with decision making, and you do not have
a legally appointed guardian, you have the right to nominate the
type of assistance you require and who will provide it.
to
have all DASSI staff work with you and support you in a manner
which recognizes and respects your privacy and dignity and maintains
confidentiality.
to
be supported and encouraged to participate and be involved in
the life of the community as a valued citizen within identified
resources available for that support.
to
raise and have resolved any complaints or disputes that you may
have regarding the support and/or service provided by DASSI.
to
be treated with consideration and respect at all times free from
physical, sexual, verbal, emotional abuse or neglect.
to
receive a well-planned and sensitively managed service that is
reliable, safe and secure.
to
have your specific language and cultural needs met within the
support service
