"All About DASSI" is really all about our clients. As a not-for-profit organisation, our ethos is based on the principle of community benefit through service to individual clients in need.

Over the past twenty-five years, DASSI has earned a reputation as a responsive organisation that is closely in touch with the needs of people with disabilities. We at DASSI believe that community and individual service is all about the quality of our relationships. In particular, we appreciate the centrality of the warm and supportive relationships between our carers and our clients. DASSI's in-home care services, delivered by our compassionate staff, have helped to build fulfilling lives for people with disabilities in all corners of Victoria.

During every hour of every day, DASSI's carers are helping our clients to meet the many challenges of everyday life. In fact, DASSI's 950 support workers collectively provide personal and home care services to 1,000 clients across 4,000 shifts every week.

Over more recent times, DASSI has ventured into another sphere of in-home client support - aged care. At DASSI, we are guided by our general principle that people with varying capabilities should be able to enjoy the emotional security and familiarity of their own homes.

Accordingly, we believe that the diminished capabilities that often accompany ageing should be accommodated within individually tailored support programs that emphasise continuing abilities accompanied by maximum personal choice and autonomy. You can be confident that at DASSI, we always respect your individual preferences and needs.
